We are happy to introduce you to this work of art from the Napoleon III period during the late 19th century, also known as the late Victorian period. This collar brooch is crafted 18 K solid gold and features a lovely floral decoration. In the center of this beauty, we find a small white flower set on top of a cathedral setting. This little flower is set on top of a star, decorated with little hand engraved dots. Greenish leafs encircle this guiding star. The outer flower shape frame features small star-like flowers and scrolls. The many small details show how patient they have been in making such a beautiful jewel, purely handmade which still blows our minds.
The brooch is functioning and in good condition considering its age. It is equipped with a C closure and a long pin typical of late nineteenth century, since clothing was fabricated in thicker materials. This little stunning brooch is hallmarked with a French Horse head, a hallmark which was only used in France between 1838 and 1919.
We love this wonderful example of an Art Nouveau brooch crafted during the late Napoleon III era in France. We love the way the artist united the elegant flowing natural forms with angular contours giving it a strong and magical look. We love its high and rich carat, the colour tones and of course its wonderful design.
