Up for sale is this rare and vintage 18 ct Yellow Gold & Diamond Ladies' watch made in Switzerland by Omega in the 1970's. The Omega De Ville line was introduced in 1967, and has since embodied a sophisticated style characterised by a streamlined and classic design. The one for sale here is a perfect example of such classic timepieces. The yellow gold watch case and mesh bracelet flow seamlessly into one another. The factory set diamond bezel contains 24 large and 8 smaller brilliant cut high quality diamonds.
The bracelet ends in turn contain 18 diamonds for a total estimate of 1.75 carat. The dial is kept to its bare minimum: simplistic hour indexes combined with a gold dial and baton shaped hands create a minimalist watch face.
Behind the solid gold case back is the beating heart of this watch: a mechanical hand-winding Omega movement with caliber reference 620. It contains 17 jewels, is adjusted to two positions and just 2.5mm thick. Thanks to the incorporation of this movement, the watch case can be kept as thin as 7mm. For such a sleek and refined watch, its total weight still adds up to about 55 grams.
The watch is sold as pre-owned and vintage, however it still is in great shape considering its age. Please do study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is. We are sure that you like honesty, and so do we. Functionally, the watch has been serviced by an authorised Omega Service Center prior to this sale, and is working perfectly.
Please do note that the clasp has a few small adjustment settings, but the bracelet on this watch is not drastically resizable as far as we're aware. Ideally, it fits wrists with a circumference between 16 and 18 cm.
The watch comes without any paperwork but will be packaged in an original Omega box from the appropriate time period. The item ships from Belgium and will be securely packaged and dispatched using the local postal service (BPost).
