For sale is a gorgeous Swiss Made Rado Men's Chronograph watch with ceramic case and bracelet, referenced to as the Diastar r5.5 R28886182. The r5.5 is created by renowned British designer Jasper Morrison, and the name is taken from the 5.5 mm corner radii of the case. An easily identifiable evolution of earlier Rado models, the r5.5 features a reinterpreted ceramic case and integrated tapered bracelet. The minimalistic, industrial look with its starkly contrasting details is reminiscent of earlier monochromatic Rado models.
This watch can be seen as a chronograph reduced to the essential. Three hands, two counters, date at 3 o’clock, all lying under the flat sapphire crystal and activated through the gently curved rectangular ceramic pushers. The white luminous hands are brought to life by the stunning black sunbrushed dial.
The watch is sold as pre-owned, however it almost looks brand new. Both the sapphire glass and ceramic case and bracelet show little to no signs of wear. The watch comes in its original black leather Rado box. This box is protected by the original black Rado cardboard box, which in turn is protected by a white cardboard Rado sleeve (they do like their packaging!). In here, you'll find the warranty card in its original leather card holder. One extra bracelet link comes included as well, together with an unused Rado branded soft cloth.
