This wonderful Victorian ring joins the other stunning rings in our webshop. The centre stone of this 18k yellow gold ring is an Old mine cut diamond. This kind of cut is typical for the 19th century. As you can see stones cut in this shape are more squared than modern brilliant cut stones.
This stunning centre stone is, as you can see on the pictures, flanked by four more beautiful old European cut diamonds. These are not perfectly round because they were cut by hand in times where there were no computers to assist the diamond cutters. Therefor, all diamonds in this ring have a unique cut.
Because these diamonds are prong set and set near to each other, you can see less gold in between the diamonds. Therefore it looks like they form one big diamond, at least at first sight. The amount of sparkle is bigger now than it would be when these pretty diamonds were partly hidden under a bezel.
