New in our gamma is this fine antique wyvern brooch made during Queen Victoria’s reign from 1838 till 1919. This brooch is made out of 18k yellow gold and pictures a magnificent wyvern wich was a very popular subject in stories from the middle ages.
As you can see on the pictures, this fabulous beast has the head and wings of a dragon, the claws of an eagle and the body of a reptile. As icing on the cake this fabulous beast caries a stunning diamond in one of his claws. This wonderful brooch is hand made in France by a very skilled goldsmith. When you look at the pictures you can see that the details of this brooch are stunning and well preserved. These details are typical for most Victorian Jewels, although not all jewels made during this period are preserved this well.
